HUNTAHAN:
The Southern Luzon State University
Research Seminar Series
Consistent with its mandate to increase and enhance the scope, prominence, and impact of the University’s research initiatives, the Office of Research Services is hosting a year-long Research Seminar Series through which to promote cross-institutional research-related conversations across disciplines.
Dubbed “Huntahan: The Southern Luzon State University International Research Seminar Series”, the seminar series shall serve as a venue for disseminating research findings and sharing best research practices by in-house and invited international experts in particular fields of study.
Huntahan is a Tagalog term that can mean two things: (1) a meeting place of sorts, and (2) a conversation (Komisyon ng Wikang Filipino, 2021). Encapsulating the dual meaning of the term, the research seminar series is intended to be a channel and at the same time the actual conversation through which to discuss cutting-edge research by in-house experts and invited international scholars.
The SLSU Office of Research Services (ORS), in collaboration with the Social Development Research Center (SRDC) of De La Salle University - Manila, shall hold the 4th session of the Huntahan: The SLSU’s International Research Seminar Series featuring the workshop titled “Enabling the Researcher: Capacity-Building Workshop on Basic Qualitative Analysis,” to be presented by Dr. Darren Dumaop, an Associate Professor of the Department of Psychology, De La Salle University, Manila.
The one-day FREE event is scheduled for July 16, 2024, and will be conducted in a hybrid format. We have 50 slots available ONLY for face-to-face attendees from Southern Luzon State University. Interested participants not affiliated with SLSU are welcomed to join the event via ZOOM. Register through this link: https://bit.ly/4thHuntahanY3Registration
