The Microbiology Research and Testing Laboratory or MRTL is committed to constantly producing high-impact research outputs and consistently providing our clients with the highest quality of research and testing services that are anchored on international procedures and standards. It offers services such as water and food analysis.
The SLSU Tissue Culture Laboratory aims to provide the students, farmers, and other community members with knowledge on how to improve their lives and the agricultural industry through tissue culture technology. At present, the laboratory works on producing viable Makapuno plantlets that are healthy and free of contaminants through embryo culturing and rescuing techniques. The plantlets are also available for sale.
The Center for Hazard and Environmental Resource Mapping or CHERM aims to strengthen collaborative efforts of mapping agencies and stakeholders in the provision of geospatial data and services; capacitate LGUs, SUCs, line agencies, and other interested parties on the utilization of geospatial data and other derivative products; and provide research-based authoritative geospatial data and services in all stages of the Disaster Risk Reduction and Environmental Management Cycle, natural resource mapping, and other developmental concerns.
